Our Vision
​The Contra Costa County Adult Education Consortium (CCCAEC) was established to design a coordinated adult education system that accelerates academic and career success of adult students. Through a participatory and transparent regional planning process, the Consortium envisions universal academic, employment, and career pathways and transition supports that expand accessibility and quality of existing programs and services. ​

Public Meetings
​The Consortium meets the third Thursday of every other month at 9:30 am.

Collaboration, transparency, and representation are keys to Consortium success. Consortium members are encouraged to actively engage in an equitable and inclusive decision-making process that offers one vote to each member agency.

Steering Committee​
​The Consortium Steering Committee guides and oversees the collaborative regional efforts to integrate and coordinate Contra Costa County's adult education systems, partners, and services. Specific responsibilities of Committee members include:
  • Provide leadership and decision making related to planning processes and activities
  • Engage actively in the planning process through Steering Committee meetings
  • Ensure participation by respective agency representatives in specific program area meetings
  • Direct the work of all staff employed to carry out planning activities
  • Ensure all deliverables are submitted on time
  • Plan for use of allocated planning dollars and approve budget
  • Model and support collaboration and shared leadership
  • Serve as the communication liaison to respective educational entity being represented
